The Pioneers collection is a celebration of black excellence in college basketball during Black History Month, featuring teams such as Texas Western who won the national championship in 1966 with five all-black starters, 1984 Georgetown led by coach John Thompson and star center Patrick Ewing, UNLV led by coach Jerry Tarkanian and players Larry Johnson, Stacey Augmon, and Greg Anthony who won the title in 1990, and the Fab Five, a highly-recruited class of five freshmen who changed the game on and off the court in the early 1990s.
